ONTIER will start working in the transalpine country by January 1 in Rome and by June in Milan. Lucca Pardo, lawyer at ONTIER Italy, explains that the singularity of the Italian market explains why these openings will be performed in two different phases. ''In Italy there's an administrative and a business centre, therefore a law firm must be in Rome as well as in Milan In order to fully respond to its clients'', explains Lucca Pardo, Managing Partner at ONTIER Italy.
One of the reasons for this ONTIER opening is the increasing interest among Italian companies towards Latin America. ''Before, Italian companies would only look to the East and to the USA when they thought of exporting, but now they are much more interested in Latin America'', explains Lucca to Expansión.
Besides Italy, other countries like Ecuador, Argentina or the Dominican Republic are still on ONTIER's agenda, which as well as establishing itself as the leading law firm in Latin America, also aspires to become the benchmark law firm for other regions in the world.
